International Circulation: When should two stents be used during bifurcation stenting? Professor Weisz: There’s been a long debate over the years whether we should use one or two stents in those cases of what we used to call true bifurcation lesions and now in the Medina classification， like the 111 bifurcation. Over the years there have been a couple of studies. Another study that was presented this year at TCT—the BBC study， has shown that in most of the cases one stent is as good as two stents and may be associated with less long-term complications.
